My name is Eric Gana. I’ve been interested in photography since the age of ten. I grew up in Philadelphia and I’ve spent a lot of time in the city over the years. I graduated from Temple University in 2001, with a bachelors degree in Film and Media Arts. While attending photo journalism classes, I was given many photography assignments that required me to shoot in and around center city. Throughout these classes, I discovered the amazing visual beauty of Philadelphia. In January of 2003, while reviewing my photo journalism assignments, I was reminded of how much I enjoyed photographing the city. I became inspired to make center city Philadelphia the main subject of my photography. Over the past eight years I have been perusing that goal.
