My name is Eric Gana. I’ve been interested in photography since the age of ten. I grew up in Philadelphia and I’ve spent a lot of time in the city over the years. I graduated from Temple University in 2001, with a bachelors degree in Film and Media Arts. While attending photo journalism classes, I was given many photography assignments that required me to shoot in and around center city Philadelphia. Throughout these classes, I discovered the amazing visual beauty of center city. In January of 2003, while reviewing my college photography assignments, I was reminded of how much I enjoyed photographing the city. Eventually I became inspired to make center city Philadelphia the main subject of my photography. Over the past seven years I have been perusing that goal.
